Lambda sensor

The lambda sensor light went on. How can I check if it's the 1st or the 2nd?

Your can check it by plugging it into a code reader, the engine management light could also mean throttle sensor or knock sensor too

Maybe that's what causing my problem. Last week when I was driving, the engine stopped without any reason. Can it be due to one of those sensors?

lambda sensor controls the mixture so maybe

The car will run without a lambda sensor, the ecu will just revert to a default map. It may be somthing to do with the electronic throttle body if you light has come on.
