Top man thanks for clearing that up. All different companies are selling them named differently and priced differently.

I bought a bosch one the other day for my 182 (pre cat). 480mm. £40 from Opie Oils after the 15% discount at the time.

Wasn't working and didn't throw up any error lights.

Hi Martin... I’m sue the 480mm is the post cat sensor?

The cables are both the same length.

The pre cat goes to where the subframe is and the post cat plugs in up where the heat shield is on the front section.

I’ve seen 408mm... 420mm... and 480mm for sale.

I’ve yet to take mine off to see what it is 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi all
I have clio2 712
Are pre and post cat sensors the same ?

Looking at some sites Autodoc etc,, sometimes their listings state Pre cat and some time state post cat sensor
Sometimes they say universal and some times nothing is stated
Is it the cable lengths?

The Dashboard Engine warning light is on.
I ask this because Ren0link (in french ) says downstream no signal and a generic OBD reader says P0136
Sensor 2 two dose not pulse between 0.2 and 0.8 volts in the same way like the sensor 1 pre cat dose.

Sensor 2 starts low at about 0.3 v then when warmed up in CL stays at 1.25 volts.
If so this must be very very rich This dos not look right?

Have I got my theory right?
So are we saying that it is the short fuel trims that make the upstream sensor 1 switch constantly ?
And there for
Dose this mean that sensor 2 downstream should stay constant roughly half way at 0.5 volts. when operating in a steady CL state
With hardly any fuel long trim.?
And
Is this because sensor one has done its job.?

Or Have I got it wrong and is it that narrow band sensors dont work like this? or some thing else?

I hope some one could explain this in a bit more detail to me
I would be very great full.

Cheers

Both the Pre cat and post cat sensors are the same. The only difference used to be one cable was longer than the other.
Genuine bosch sensor here. Probably as cheap you'll find one. Click on the link below.
