lambo doors

I recently bought some universal lambo hinges for my 16V Mk1 clio!! But when coming to fit them i ethier found them too High or low on the A post meaning that they were hitting the wheel or not fitting flush! so before i go cutting off all the old door hinges does anyone know anythying about this or seen it done on another clio. nightmare!!!

it has never been done sucessfully on a clio 16v without wing rubbing and doors not closing properly, you would need a pro to design and fit the kit in order not to have serious problems.

HHmm i thought that! it justs rediculosly expensive to have done by a pro, bt there again theres no point in bodging it. its now just a case of whether its worth spending the money on having it done?? or putting the money towards a new car??

not sure its a universal kit.. but i think it probably would cus the a post is larger on the new ones ill find out if your interested

I am in talks with a company at the moment about using my car whilst its being rebuilt to develop a bolt on lambo door kit for the clio 16v. This should solve all the problems.

Didnt someone on here with an Orange Clio get this sorted...........iirc he was trying it about a year ago and ended up spending loads on the proper hinges in the end.

Why bother? For £1500 you could almost have a Williams or a full respray.

yes but a good kit would probably be about £700 and you could fit it yourself once its been properly built.

ive cut the hinges themselves and i hav managed to fit one bt its not very flush yet . Phantome has got a point! to be honest there are not that Hi tech to build and once they are made for the car fitting them wont be so bad! universal kits are a ba*tard wouldnt advise buying them unless they are from lambo tek or a company who specialise in them. Cus they know wat they are talkin about
