Right, those of you who are 'in the know' please...
Want a laptop, will be buying in the next month. Needs to be within the above price range as well.
It is replacing our AMD Athlon XP Mobile Barton desktop (currently oc'd to 2.4 ghz), 1 gig of ram, 150 gb hard drive.
I will use it to connect to my flat screen monitor now and again when working, but other than that, it'll be used on a lap just for social / internet / work purposes (no gaming). Would like a decent battery life, looks not important but would prefer it to be lighter and smaller than you're 'normal' laptop.
Obviously can't afford a Macbook, much as I'd like. So what would you recommend?
