Not if your handy with a soldering iron. You can get a new port from Maplin for a few quid. The hard part is taking the mainboard out of the laptop and replacing the socket. If its still under warranty phone the manufacturer, get them to do it for you. This is of course assuming the port is the problem (9 times out of 10 it is the centre pin broken/loose).
