Laptop power packs???

Rite silly quetion.

when charging a laptop the main power pack gets hot, but how hot is to hot?

i've known them get crazy hot - like 50C+.

It's not a sony laptop by any chance though is it? They did recall a pile because they got too hot and kept setting on fire. Have a look on your manufacturers website.

id say too hot is at the point where it hurts to touch it!!

nah its a fujitsu.

tempted to take battery out, then just use the power and run it like a desktop

im no on about the battery, im on about the power lead to charge it, which has an adaptor.

the adaptor the bit im askin how hot is to hot for it to get

Some laptops use replacement chinese copies on the laptops that get very very hot in use.
