laptop repairs? :(

Any one know of a good place to repair an acer laptop?
I had a little accident with it yesterday , it fell off a table and landed on the screen
The damage looks to only the power socket on the laptop (it was plugged in). Looks like the little centre pin has snapped / come loose. and because the dvdrw draw was open, the carrage is stiff and doesnt pop out.

The dvd problem i can live with as i can manually pull it out. but obviously once my batt is flat... lappy is no more.

Suggestions? i dont really want to claim on my house insurace again.:dapprove:

Bloke in work broke the pin on his. He bought the part on ebay I think for pennies and then just soldered it on to the motherboard himself. Didn't look too hard.
