Hmm, does your Plasma have a DVI Socket? They're the sockets similar (if not identical) to the one on the back of your laptop, same as the monitor via to your computer. Anyway, you need one of them, i don't know what the wires called, i assume its called a DVI cable because thats what it is. I think you can get them from most PC stores or Maplin or Comet? I got mine with my Evesham LCD television (good lcd by the way, cheap as cheaps, £649.99 for 32" HD Ready and PC quality is top).

(Also you'll need another method to transmit the sound from the laptop, since the vga cables, plugs and sockets are for your laptops monitor only.)

Strange, from the link for the telly, it seems you havn't got a DVI socket but you have some sort of PC input, i'm not sure what the PC Input is if its not DVI, sorry.

Yeah, on the back of the TV is a port typically seen on a PC, where the monitor cable goes. it even has PC written under it, for dummies :)

That should be it, but i'm certain that is a DVI socket. Either way, try the DVI cable, you'll recognise it i'm sure since it goes into both sockets.

Oh and the quality should impress you scutch, its very good on LCD TV, not sure about plasma. And remember you're gonna need speakers for the laptop or some sort of cable for that to your tv audio...

I'll need a cable for sound? So if I just get the monitor cable and plug it in I wont get any sound? Never done this before but it all sounds a bit long winded :(

I just have the headphone jack from the laptop going into the surround sound system and the VGA cable going into the telly. Works a treat. You can also plug the headphone jack into the audio inputs of the TV with the right cable.

This is like the blind leading the dumb.

Scutch, you need a vga to vga cable.

You need a twin phono to 3.5m (headphone jack) cable (or whatever your surround inputs// or tv inputs are. I'm guessing twin phono)
