Laquer on Satin Paint?

  Mustang, S13, AX GT
I'm currently painting my wheels in satin black so I want to try and protect them a little bit using some laquer or clear coat, the problem is I only have gloss laquer and when I used it on matt paint it looked absolutely pants. Can any-one recommend a clear coat to use on Satin Black without affecting the finish? Thanks

  Dodgy one
Use the one you've got but dont apply it as a wet coat, Laquer from a distance away so it goes on Dry!

Try it on a piece of plastic or metal first though, You can get Matt laquer as i use it at work but not sure if you can get it as an Aerosol

Ok I'll give it a try on the wheel thats likely to be put in the boot as a spare and see how it goes...
