Ordered a SuperSprint exhaust from their On-line shop earlier in the week.

Got a call yesterday saying there was a problem because their website prices are wrong and the exhaust I ordered had gone up £30!!!!!!!!!

So they couldnt complete my order unless I authorised payment of another £30!!

I told them where to stick their exhaust and complained, but only got a sad apology back.

So no exhaust for me yet, got find out where is cheapest and try again!!

Most sites have disclaimers saying prices can change at anytime. People make mistakes..

Id make sure i would phone to order such a major purchase anyway, ask them for a personal review of the exhaust, how the fitting is etc.

bit bent, in shops if there is a price on an object they have 2 sell at that price, they cant change it, sure thats the law anyway

have got couple of things cheaper this way in the past

no thats not the case, most places will sell you it at the wrong price as a goodwill measure but theyre more than within their right to take the goods off of the shelf and refuse to sell it to you.

I know all the disclaimers etc, but I still think it is poor service!

If you have an internet shop you should keep it up to date! £30 is a lot on something that I was supposed to be paying £160 for!

Just my personal opinion!!

trading standards state that they are allowed 24hrs to change the price once its been brought to their attention and if they havent changed it by then, then they have to honour that price!

there was a famous thing with Amazon, theyd priced palm pcs up for 7 quid instead of 70 or something. The contract isnt made untill you get that e-mail saying theyve debited your card and the goods are sent. Until then they can change the price etc etc etc

Well, they still havent changed the price and I ordered it on Monday!!

Yeah - I had a look actually, and they werent too bad price wise actually, but I think they order their stuff in (and there are problems with supplies) and I can get cheaper if I go through somewhere we get a discount with. Hopefully going through Carnoisseur now!!
