LCD Tv question

My LCD has max resolution of 720p, but accepts 1080i signals. Will I get a better picture setting my PS3 to 720p or 1080i?

Probably 720p although I find SkyHD looks better at 1080i (which is it's native resolution).

My copy of Rainbow 6 looks better at 720p than 1080i.
