What do people recommend, with a budget of about £700? I'd ideally like to go bigger than 30" but obviously open to suggestions if I can get better quality slightly smaller...

Possibly a bit too much... my budget is really £700 and I can wangle a 10% from Comet if any recommended TV's are sold there.

The Toshiba is sold at Comet but for £880, so would still be £800 after discount...

whatever you buy try to find cheapest around and then get John Lewis to price match it. Reason being that John Lewis offer a price match and give you a 5 year warranty as standard which would cost you £150 anywhere else.

but tbh a 5 year warranty is pretty much pointless as i cant see anyone keeping th ecurrent gen lcd's for 5 years

oh and also warranties dont mean s**t lol if a product doesnt last for aslong as you think it should then your rights say that it should be fixed foc no matter if its in warranty or not

i have a acer 27 lcd.
Good tv ..runs the xbox well.
I hade 1 failure with it but once that was sorted all is good.
Two of my mates have the same screen and they have had no grief.
the best bit is it costs under £500....There is a larger version tho for 150 more.
