leaking sun roof?

Right so...

the sunroof has been leaking for ages now, my carpets ended up drenched and the foam under the carpets is now black with mould.

ive removed the carpets etc to dry them out and ive sealed the sunroof shut with sillocone which kept it dry for a few weeks.

went out yesterday morning and the water was dripping off my roof like a tap. my seat and footwell are both soaking wet.

any ideas how to solve this b**ch?

thanks.

It wont let me view that link :(

Ah, that's because you're not a paid member.

It's a step by step guide on resealing your own sunroof.

You'll have to pay the £12 membership fee and join up to be able to see it. Membership is worth it anyway from the free stuff you get and all the other parts of the forum you get access to.

£12 a year mate. Its worth it for that guide alone.

Mine leaked quite badly, followed that guide and hasn't leaked since.

I will sign up at the weekend but I'm in a city working through the week so if I know what I need I can buy it and then do it when I get home at the weekend. I live in a village so there's nowhere to buy car parts or nything really. Only the local garage which is a rip off!

Because of the rules we can't copy and paste the guide.

However I think it would be alright to post the materials needed as its not telling you how to do it

Tools needed.

10mm socket
Wrench
Flathead screwdriver
Size 20 torx bit
Silcone gun

Materials needed.

Transparent/Black all purpose sealer.
Alcohol

Alcohol? Haha alright thanks bux, sorry if this is a stupid question but what's an all purpose sealer? Silocone aye?

I used silicone. However it doesn't have to be done with a silicone sealer. If you can get a silicone gun as well it will make life much easier.
