Leaky box

Changing my balljoints on the weekend and accidentally pulled out the passenger driveshaft, popped it back in, now it seems to be leaking.. Any ideas, the shaft is in tidy etc

Drain the box, cut the old metal clip off push the rubber boot back in tight to the bearing. Then either jubilee clip it or get the correct clip and crimping tool. Then refil the box, it can be done without draining but wouldn't advise it

Or go to a garage and ask them to re clip it.

Wasn't what I was expecting when I came in here tbh haha.

Drain the oil, remove the 3 bolts on the driveshaft boot, check the condition, if its torn its a new shaft but it might have just been pulled from the retaining ring. Then obviously fill it back up again.


^^^^^^ don't cut off any clip as I presume its gearbox oil and not grease he is complaining about.

Its what i did with mine. Drain the box cut the clip off put new one on and re filled the box , jobs a good un
