Leda suspension.

I know there is alot of talk about AST, KW V2 or V3's.

But whats the jibber jabber on the Leda Suspension units now days? I know they used to be the mutts nutts at one stage and driven a car with the proper units on it was brilliant and handled like nothing i have driven.

Im looking about £1000 give or take a few £££ but just wanted to get opinions on the Leda as i have not heard people talk about them in a long long time.

i havnt heard good things recently. They were brought out a while back and never been the same since. Bad quality compared to what they were.Would stick to KW's over them

I had leda's and the quality and handling were first rate.

They are working heavily to improve their quality, and are building business back up again. Dont know anyone that has bought from them recently, but from speaking to them at FCS they are keen to get to making quality kit that works.

Yes i have seen it first hand. they are still a good piece of kit but not reliable. They are coming back up but other companies have picked up allot more aswell. Couldnt bring myself to pay the more money for them over the same priced KW/Bilsteins etc

the "NEW" LEDA's quality is excellent, and the service they did on my rear units was top notch they came back better then new, they also sell coilvoer units for all 4 corners like the AST's which i imagen would be an excellent kit. I beleive they are focused very much towards the race market and dont seam interested in road applications for the renaultsport range, however im sure they would make you a kit, would probably be comparable to Yozza's PSS10 kit which also looks excellent.

I'm pretty sure I read they have something to do with GAZ now. If so, then they'd just use them for road stuff I'd imagine.

Or it might have been GAZ took on LEDA engineers/designers. That sounds more like it. I can't remember TBH, it was a few years back.

There was allot going on between Gaz and Leda. You use a pair of ledas against V2/3 and you will be dissapointed i personly think. When i was looking before im sure leda was every expensive compared to them anyway

Sounds about right. I've seen second hand sets selling around the £1K bracket.

Ive got them, and i rate them!! Its my second set now and i wouldn't have anything else. So refined on the road but hardcore out on track. I agree with D4ve, ive had mine refurbed since the new lot have been in and they are quality!! I deal with matt, give him a call!!
