legal tinting

Car  Fiesta Zetec S
Im thinking of blacking out the rear windows but i dont want any cop trouble so what is the (darkest ) legal tinits ?

SP40 i believe.

UK law currently states that the driver and front passenger windows must only be treated with a light tint.
The back windows can be treated with any shade.
The front windscreen must be free of any shading, apart from a 6" strip across the top.

Note: Driver, front passenger and windscreen must comply with new visible light transmission regulations. Driver and front passenger minimum 70% V.L.T and windscreen min 75% V.L.T.

Hope this helps

anything rear, 75% light transmission on windscreen, 70% transmission on side,

but bear in mind there is a tint as standard.

id only be doing the rear as i think when you do the front your affecting driver vision to much

And thankyou for answering the Q

im looking at getting my windows tinted.

I dont want a big contrast though. Looks a bit silly having limo black in the back and nothing in the front.
How would 60 V.L.T look all round? I know thats illegal on the front, so maybe 70 V.L.T in the front.
