Thats for MSDN. So while it may be legit for developing software on and demostrating stuff you've developed its not going to license you for playing games etc.

EDIT: Just read some of the thread on that other forum, funny how many poeple think they are getting a bargain...

Or, if you're a student in the UK, you're likely to have such a subscription anyway. Just ask the IT department.
