For the money there won't be much better, f/5.6 isn't going to set the world on fire but that VR is a nice addition, should be nice and light/compact as well... depending on how serious you are, or how much you need to top action saving lots more for a 70-200 f/2.8 of some sort might be worth it in the long run..

If your after a lens for holiday snapping and don't have a need for speed or amazing image quality then the Sigma 18-200 OS or Nikon 18-200 VR would be ideal, just a fair bit more costly..

Dont mind changing lenses, the 18-200 is way out of my price range!
