Lenses

Right folks, I'm after a couple of lenses for the D80, this 55-200, and I'm also after a portrait lens, most likely the nikon 50mm, however there's the f1.4 and f1.8, with the f1.4 costing more than double the 1.8 version. Would I notice a big difference between the two? I'm guessing for what/how often I'll be using it, I reckon probably not and I'll more than likely get the f1.8, I'm just wondering how much of a difference there is between the two?

the f/1.4 is the one I have and is better quality glass and obviously had the larger aperture. TBH as your asking the question, I would say stick with the f/1.8.

I use the Nikon f/1.8 for 90% of my portrait work, excellent lens.
