light on the dash

  big boost cup
i have just been out for a drive got the clio nice and warm and thought i would do some Fast and Furious at the lights (not against anyone) and when i went for it and got near the top of the revs the light in the bottom left hand corner of the dash came on and it went into limp mode so i stoped and turned it off a waited a few mins and fired her up and the light is still on but not in limp mode any ideas what and why this light is on

Could be the emmisions light then, bottom right hand corner looks like some sort of a tap? if so then ye,

fit your cat back on and it will go off

It's your emissions light. Mine came on too recently but not important, I think it will need a fault code reader to switch it off, can anyone confirm this?

  Clio 182
i dont know if the 172 dash is different from the 182 but my emissions light is at the bottom right of the clocks. there is a coolant light similar in between the rev and speed clocks though. but like they say above it could be various things so your best to have it checked so that you dont go and buy various things to find out it wasnt any of those.
plus, i could be wrong but if you replace the part thats needed in order for the light to go off dont you need to get it cleared using one of those fault code things anyway?
