lol, i didn't s**t myself and it was the 1st time i'd driven then 172 on a public road, was a straight road tho..i'd defo s**t myself on a country road!

but you you don't change at peak power....it's much harder to pull against the next gear at 4.5k than 7k in a lower gear..

You should be changing close after peak power or your gonna slow yourself down

i have it hit it a couple of times i normally change gear at 3k all the time sometimes 2 1/2k unless u just get used to the cars speed so every so often i'll go out and give it all of the beans i'll get out shaking best one was last week going to work at 5am a mk golf vr6 past me with 2 other lads in and i was like t**t he indicated to turn onto the last road i go on which is about a mile and a half long super smooth no junctions pure str8 and safe i caught him up at the corner and he put his hand up shaking his index finger like he was a big boy so i dropped it into 1st for extra torque pulled str8 onto the other side of the road and bang i was off and he cudnt catch me i pulled a good 6 car gap by the end doing 125mph pulled into work and i thought i was having a fit it was great

Never hit it in my car, just feels naughty. The last courtesy car I had got plenty of limiter action though, the limiter on the 1.2 16v sounds really crappy though.
