Limitor on Clio

I searched the forums for similar topics but couldnt find any.

Any body know wot the limitor is on the 1.6 clio and on the 2.0l 172?

Dunno about the 1.6 but the 2.0 has a limit at about 6500 when cold and 7250 when warm iirc.

no just when the engine is running never mind cold or hot i know its damages the engine if u over rev the engine in cold i just meaning general how many revs will they go up to b4 the engine starts to "bounce" on the limiter e.g. 4.5thousand 5.5 thousnd 6 thousand? which one how far?

for a 1.6 and for the 2.0l. its not that hard of a question

5995 lo, well its there or ther abouts, its somewhere just before 6000rpm, bloody annoying for 0-60 runs as it means it just misses 60mph in 2nd gear

6000? could have swore my 1.2 hits the limiter at 6.5.... thats hot and cold afaik (have never done it cold btw, lol)

I assume thats on the 1.6 8v? the 1.6 16vs rev higher than that afaik.... i cant tell you to where though
