Limp mode problem. Here are the symptoms :(

Car goes in and out of limp mode at varying occasions through the year. It's starting to piss me off.

Here is what happens.

Engine light comes on. I turn car on and off then it's fine. Then it will come back on followed by the emissions light. Car has no decat, only a YS system.

Birchdown plugged it in and couldn't find anything wrong on the computer.

HEEEELLP! really stuck as to what to do. keV mentioned upper lambda sensor but iv had others tell me this doesn't cause limp mode lol.

Thanks,
Luke :)

As above luke, post cat lambda gave me all those problems.

awkward to change too.

Lambda would be first port of call Luke, a relatively simple fix but a bit of a pain access-wise.

Pre-cat is easy enough to get out, it's the stupid position that Renault decided to secure the wiring plug that makes it a pain in the ass.

I tried messing with the Lambda closest to the manifold today. f**k me! I couldn't unplug it as there is no play in the plug bit and i couldn't unbolt the lambda lol.

Fail :( Il buy a new one and get it fitted at a garage.

GSF is your best bet mate for the part.
