limp mode

just comeing home from work today ,and it was throwing it down real hard the road was like a river ! after going through all this the car went in to limp mode. for about 2 miles then i stoped the car then restarted her then it was ok. point been is it possible for water to cause this.or the begining of a fault?...any one els had this in the wet

Waters got in somehwere most likly a relay in the engine bay I won't worry unless it happens again unless you have a chnage to remove the cover and see if any waters got into any electric in the relay box
