Little dilema, help needed.

Right, so after 2 years of Clio ownership, and 2 years of RS dreaming, I got some quotes on 182s, and as you would expect, they wanted me to bend over and take one for the team, which I wasn't going to do again.

As a result I started looking round at some diesels, I.e 130 tdi golfs, fabia vrs, which were cheaper to insure, but dearer to buy if I wanted a decent one, so still ended up out of my reach.

Due to the fact I've had my heart set on an RS Clio since I bought mine, I've decided to hold onto mine for another year as there is A) it is mechanically mint with only 38,000 on the clock and there is nothing actually wrong with it, and B) if I bought something else I know that in 6 months time I'd still be harping back to lusts of RS ownership.

So here comes the dilema. Although I want a sport, I don't just want a faster version of my car, I want it to be alot more special. Therefore I'm wondering whether things suck as build quality etc is better on the RS version of the Clio? I really don't want a faster version of my rattle bucket.

If this is the case, and they do rattle and fall to pieces just like the rest, then what are the pick of the rest of the bunch?

I really like the look of astra GSIs and fiesta STs, but as I've said, at the moment I've got my heart set on a cup packed RB 182, I just need to know the main differences between them and a non RS Clio.

Sorry if I've bored you, but any help would be appreciated. Also sorr if there is any mistakes or things don't make sense as I'm on my ifail.
