Your "clio" badge sounds like its clipped on, it should still just clip off, I personally use a screw driver wrapped in electrical tape/a bit of rag to do this sort of thing. Just prise it off. You won't damage the car, and at worse, damage the badge clips, badges can be picked up for peanuts.
Side strips push inwards, so if you open the door, push towards the middle of the car, so the front one pushes towards the back and the back one pushes towards the front. Once they've moved a bit they'll just pull out, they sort of clip in.
