o great! :(. does anyone know how to get it off without doing damage to the car or badge? also can someone help me how do i get the side strips of do they push of or do they need taking off from the inner of the door? cheers:)

No offence but the way you post is painful, no caps and no paragraphs, this makes it very hard to read... (I have demonstrated this below out of boredom)

Your "clio" badge sounds like its clipped on, it should still just clip off, I personally use a screw driver wrapped in electrical tape/a bit of rag to do this sort of thing. Just prise it off. You won't damage the car, and at worse, damage the badge clips, badges can be picked up for peanuts.

Side strips push inwards, so if you open the door, push towards the middle of the car, so the front one pushes towards the back and the back one pushes towards the front. Once they've moved a bit they'll just pull out, they sort of clip in.

Painful Version:

See how much harder that is to read?
