I think it should be made an Act of Parliament:-

Scroats who are caught keying cars are forced to pay the going-rate at the manufacturers' RRP pricing - to have the respray done. Doubled.

Also, ten kicks to the b****cks are compulsory. If the car owner is male - steel toe-capped boots should ideally be worn. If the owner is a woman - the most pointy pair of shoes she has in her wardrobe.

I wonder how many would re-offend, then? Makes my fecking blood boil, stuff like this.

Would it be better to claim off insurance? Or key it all round and claim for a full respray?

How much do you people reckon it would cost to say respray a full side of a car?

The first nite i got the clio i parked it round the back of my house between 30 and 40 centimeters from my bravo.

i woke up the next morning to find a key scratch 4 feet long down the side of my 800 pound .............. fiat bravo,

and do you know what i did.

Sleep outside one evening in a tent to see if you can identify the scallywag. While we are on the subject - I used to own a lovely BMW 730i and a modified Renault 5 GT Turbo. I enjoyed taking the BMW out for some high speed cornering fun and found the sensation of drifting the rear of the car about most gratifying. Unfortunately for me my driving style was not that impressive to the local constabulary so I found myself on a six months driving ban. It was at this point that my story relates to your unfortunate situation.

Due to my ban my two cars were not being used so I parked them around the corner to my house and counted the days until my ban expired - this is where the trouble began. My BMW was the unfortunate recipiant of a keying. My blood boiled when I saw my poor car - hardly a panel was left undamaged. I swore revenge on the offender and retired to my living room to plot my scheme.

Over the coming days (and even nights) I patiently watched my cars from a distance, certain that the crook would be back for a second go. My calm approach was rewarded when the bandit crept from the shadows and approached my BMW. He removed his hoodie and I gasped silently to myself - I knew him! I watched him carve yet more lines into my car before deciding on my next course of action. Here is what I did....

I went up to my car and vandalised it myself! I chuckled at my inventivness imagining the vandals surprise at finding someone had beaten him to it! Then I sold it.
