lo guys, ltns

remember me ? :D im sure around 20 of you do hehe..

the clio is still going strong, but i went for an mot lately and it failed, im a bit stuck on how to fix it and i thought id drop by my old buddies on here.

the car failed on the rear brakes not having enough pressure, something around both sides being at 30 (cant remember the exact measurment). im thinking maybe the brake compensater valve is at fault ??????????? so i rang my local dealer (eeeek) and they said the cups dont have abs so dont have one? (im like wtf?!?!) so with only 7 days to retest and a bankholiday weekend to battle with im very stuck.

if anyone can throw some advice my way plz i would be forever gratefull

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... so, wtf to do :/ if anyone finds a renault dealer who will contact an mot station that would be nice

bit of a "no win" situation really!!!

but it doesn't need any parts etc etc, most dealers will try and sell you a rear load thingymabob @ £80!!!! NOT needed

not a no win :D

read the cliosport forums, found a link to a guy who took his clio to a garage which brought a guy from the ministry of transport down to look at it.

basically renault dealers will try and put a link bar or something (fs im a builder not a mechanic) on the compensator but in doing this they will greatly up the chance of the rear brakes locking up whilst braking which is obviously bad.
DO NOT book your clio cup in for this work as it will be a waste of money and may cause fatal accidents

i dont think delta wont appreciate 2000 owners all phoning them. they told me to ring my garage, explain the situation and tell them to contact the M.O.T about the issue.

I rang my garage, explained the story and they said to bring it in and they will pass it.. SO :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
