Locking Nuts and Wheel Bolts

Two questions for you guys.

1. Is it ok to use wheel bolts from steel wheels on alloy wheels.

2. Can I use Renault locking nuts on aftermarket wheels?

Steel wheel bolts are plain and shouldn't really be used on alloys. Alloy bolts have a ring around the top shoulder of the thread to stop the alloy wheel getting chewed up.

Should be able to use the Renault Locking bolts on any alloy.

slight hijack. Is it ok to have more than one locking bolt on each wheel say 2 out of 5 bolts?
