are the Renault ones any good? is it worth investing in some new ones for my new alloys? could I have 2 per wheel?

Yeah you can have four per wheel.

I may have some official Renault ones f/s when I find the key.

Renault ones are bloody hard to remove btw!

I used to have two on my old VTS & RT.

If people want your wheels they'll take them but at least two different sets will slow them down or perhaps put them off.

Are these for anthracite 182 wheels? Go for a lot on ebay. Keep an eye on yours!

Get a set of McGard (sp) ones. I believe they are thatcham approved too.
