Locks on doors

After looking at the pics of 'davesrealgood' pictures of his cup, I noticed that he has a lock on both doors.

I have a '53' cup, and i only have a lock on the passenger door.

Is this normal?

i read some where this came into aeffect on late 52 plates,

mines a 52 and has 2 locks but have seen other 52s with just one

its to with the french cars being Lhd, i'm sure that they took the drivers door lock off for the lhd cars, as they are lazy it means that the opposite door lock is missing for the uk cars - if that makes sense ?
