Long shot: anyone near Leicester free thurs evening?

Going to look at a 02 172, it's a dog visually but genuine silly low mileage on the engine. However has a few things wrong like a slight leak in the power steering pump? Anyone near there who knows something mechanically about these who can check it out with me. Otherwise I'm driving an hour out my way to kick a tire and go "yep, that's good".

Im really 50/50 on it. Might be just rushing into it. Again. Sensible side of me says leave it. Other side is saying risk it.

It's a 172. There's loads for sale, save some more and buy a nice one from here.

If it looks like a dog then it'll cost a fortune to get looking nice again.

Be patient you'll soon find a well looked after one. A few in the sale section on here

There's always plenty in the for sale section for around a grand,
you may even be able to research the car on here by looking at their threads,
see what problems they've had and what they've fixed or modified.

Be patient, rushing in to buying one can leave you stuck with a money pit.
