longer studs needed for fitting spacers (172 mk2) best place to get them? or do i have to take the car somewhere for a 'perfect fit'? also do they make longer lock studs?
ta Ben, standard et is 48.5, my alloys are et45, was going to go with 5mm spacers all round, is this the max you could take it or could i go 7mm (with correct long bolts)? my old alloys were et38 so trying to get as close... without shopping for cup turinis before anybody says it!
As long as the spacers are good quality and are locating ones, not multi million adj floatings ones, then you can actually run then pretty thick. Built in spogots are the ticket.
Easy to check, take out one of the studs currently on the wheel and see how much of the thread is actually used. Then you will know if you need a longer stud. FK offers spacers and studs for the Clio
