Looking for a good road-car suspension setup.

Bit of a Clio n00b tbh, and was just looking for some advice regarding a suspension setup.

It's a setup for a 172FF. The car will mainly be used as a daily so I need something soft-enough to not damage my spine! :rasp:

However I'm quite a keen 'B-Road blaster' and regularly go out for drives at the weekends, and will be looking to do the occasional track day when funds allow.

Based on this what Suspension setup do people recommend I go for? And whether it's recommended to go Coilies or stick with Springs and Dampers.

Budget is no object really (within reason), I'd rather pay more for something and get it right first time, than go through endless sets of coilovers and springs, and still end up having to pay for the more expensive item at the end anyway.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. Thought I'd also add, that I'm looking to lower the car about 30mm for aesthetic purposes, so keeping it standard isn't really part of my consideration. Are there any springs around designed to work with the OE dampers?

Eibachs, but they don't go 30mm low iirc. I've had lots of setups on 172's (eibach pro and sport, ast, h&r, kw v2's). For road and occasional track use, standard dampers with either eibach options and a whiteline arb would be great.
If monies no object, kw v2's are perfect. More than h&r's.

coilovers are not the only answer to good handeling, set of eibach sportlines and adjustable koni dampers (about £500) and some solid top mounts can be better than cheap coilovers imo...
