Currently got a 2012 Mac Mini that's been upgraded but its getting a bit long in the tooth now. I'd decided I was upgrading to the latest Mac Mini when they were £599 with 256gb SSD.
Now it seems as though all the £599 ones are NLA and the starting point is the £799 512gb one.
Pretty much nobody has these in stock yet, I believe they're imminent, but in the past fortnight they've shot up to £999. Is this placeholder pricing?
There's currently one on the Apple refurbished store for £649 or so. Likewise one in CEX for similar.
What would you do?
Don't need anything other than the entry level model, leaning towards the M4 chip as the M1 isn't that much cheaper second hand.
