Which 1 is your car done for? If u have a car for looks, do u disapprove of cars done 4 speed & vice versa? :S

Personally, my Clio is done purely for looks, big bodykit, wheels, the whole works. I do find that some people scoff at it cause it's only a 1.4! However, as far as i'm concerned that's the way i wanted my car (o.k. i'm a girl & i wanted it pretty!) Also, i'm young & unwilling 2 pay big bucks 4 insurance. I do not scoff at cars done 4 speed, infact i :hail: as 1 day i will have 1 2. I say each 2 their own. :D

Its all up to personal taste, not really a fan of huge bodykits, but I wouldnt mind a few carbon bits put on my car, for looks and weight saving.

I prefer modding a car for driveability.

Taking some pics 2morrow & will def get some up this week coming. Can anyone tell me a bit about how 2 do it as i'm new 2 all this!

For an overview: Full bodykit with spoiler, wheels, soon 2 be lowered, full respray 2 purple metalfake, 2 x twin tailpipes with de-cat, full interior respray 2 cream, rear seats recovered, bucket seats, neons (pink) & anything else u can think of!

For me its neither I spend the money on track days no need to worry about insurance etc with a n unmodified car now and no warently possible problems.

Each to there own though I'm not bothered what people do so long as there insured (well least insured so much as if they crash into me I'll get paid out).

My preference is to a fast car but I'd take a 172 over a 172 engines normal Clio.

speed mines standard outside but got fair bit of work done;) on engine goes like f*ck but tops out to quick

The racing look for me, lowered, stripped, buckets. so speed for me.

Edit:- If you strip, lower, buckets, viper, you have the looks with the speed.

I'm with Penelope in that my first cars were all looks as wasn't prepared to pay insurance costs so bought fastest (nice) car could afford to insure and made it look nicer. Now I'm older its all about the speed... the look on the face of the person driving the 'nice' car as my 'shitty' RS leaves him for dead is worth every £ I spend on her.

I would say handling, don't need a fast car to have fun :)

On the insurance note, if your 1.4 is considerably modded your insurance shouldn't be particuarly cheap anyway...

I like to look good when going quick ;)
would still rather have a fast banger than a slow showmobile personally.

Just looks for me. Ain't gonna get much speed out of a 1.2 lol. Obviously if I had a fast car, it'll be both looks and speed

  MK2 Audi TT - 2.0T dsg.
Voted for both. I like to keep the outside std and nice and clean, well looked after etc. but I'm getting more in to the performance bug atm though.

  LY V6 with Recaros
I voted for both, I think the 182 has the looks and speed, well it's good enough for me anyway! I like to have a fast car, but I would want it to look nice aswell

  Fiesta Zetec S TDCi
Can I have a "neither" option - mine neither goes quick nor looks special :(

It will be done for looks soon though :)

  Megane Mk4
I voted both, but I bought it more for the performance than the looks, but each go hand-in-hand just fine now :D

  Clio 172 mk2
Gone for performance....wouldn't spend any money changing wheels or doing body modifications as I think the 172/182 is a nice looking car as it is....mush prefer to see a nice, well looked after std looking car.

well although im into performance and making cars faster, insurance doesnt allow it so i like the subtle look (standard 15's, lowered 60, bit of colour coding etc)

my current car is looks and as much performance i can get for cheap but not worth spending loads of £££ on

next cars what ever they will be will likely have the same subtle mods with a lot of engine tuning.

Subtle visual mods (factory fitted upgrades)

Seen as I own a MK1 1.4...I cant say I mod for speed lol

You Renault sport boys are soo lucky :(

try both wid a happy medium , get a nice lookin car and make it fast

but therefore looks are more important really:cool:

dick

if i could have a fast car, then id have one
but i cant, so i have a slow 1,

Voted speed, whilst a cars looks matter to an extent if I've bought the car I must like the looks so it's just the speed bit that needs improving :)

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
i prefer a fast as f**k sleeper but i dont want to pay through the teeth on insurance so i go for looks coz at least at the end of the year ill have something to show for my money
plus i would die in a fast car so getting a few years experience 1st
