Loose cone on a sub

Car  Ph1
The cone on my JL Audio sub makes a tapping noise. Ive had to turn the amp right down but then the things useless and still taps when the volume is cranked up.

If i push the cone in slightly when its tapping it stops it.

Can the cone be tightend up, glued etc or is it new sub time ??

cheers for that m8 il have a close read in a bit.

just had another look at the Sub and the centre cone bit has come away from the outer casing so its ''blowing'' when the base comes in on a song.

Gonna have a crack at gluing it but failing that il have to bin it

If you mean the little round bit in the centre of the sub mine came away and as a result distorted the sound. Rip it of and use some superglue, no more nails etc that fixed it for me!
