I bought the car off a middle aged man , so i don't think he had ever really give it some , the cars on 30k , any tips on loosening up the engine safely? constructive comment's please , not just " sit on the limiter all day":)

Thanks

What makes you think its down on power?
Something Ive noticed with a few cars is you get used to the speed after a while so it doesn't seem as quick as when you first had it

Due to their high driving position Clio Sport models feel slower than what they actually are (imo)

It'll probably losen up naturally as it adjusts yo your driving style.

You could start by using Shell V-power on fill ups. Chances are its been filled up using Supermarket cr4p

I don't want to say too much , but had it RRd and it's a good 10bhp down on standerd! ive had a couple of light mod's done! ( i never had it RRd before the mod's )

I still beleive the best way to run these engines in is give it the beans from day one! That's what i did, and i've got a good loose engine now!

ok .
1. it might be the RR station
2. you need to compare to another 182 (if you know what i mean)
3. some 182's at the last RR got 176 with mods .
4. it might be a very tight engine .

get someone who owns a 182 to drive yours , see what they think .
certain mods can loose you power (so ppl say about IK's)
