LOSS OF POWER

Hi guys I've just fixed a miss firing problem tonight in ma 172 but im now losing power every so often and not a clue whats causing it and there is no codes cumin up in the code reader....(plugs coil pack and leads were changed)

Hi Brl,

Its more than likley it will be the tdc sensor on top of the bell housing. Its just held on by 2 10mm bolts and you just unplug it then use some nail varnish remover or petrol and wipe the magnetic tip of it. I have just done mine 2 days ago. You will have to remove the air box and once you have done its down side of engine just above the gearbox. you will need a small child to undo the bolts because my god its tight in there lol. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...96424376760.2100799.1429862023&type=1&theater

as in the last thread.. my lambda caused this issue too when i was driving around it would die blip the throttle and it would come back... something to check

It's a build up of dirt and bits of metal fillings because it isent really covered from road spray then it all builds up. When mine died if I blipped throttle nothing happend then all of a sudden it would kick back in could do it 4-5 times in a row then be fine for rest of day.

just started doing it a few days ago then i looked into it and sorted it and has been fine ever since. Once in 89k so not offten lol.

the cars gettin hooked up the computer today at some point so should know the exact problem by the end of the day

UPDATE: cars been on the computer....result is a map sensor fault so car should be up and running tomorrow

Had this problem for last few weeks! It looks like my MAP sensor loom is slightly broken though!

Going to solder new bit of loom on as I've changed MAP sensor and it didn't help!
