Lots of movement in gear stick

When pressing the accelerator or taking foot off, the gear stick seems to move quite a bit back and forth, read round about could be the engine mounts, however checked the top ones and seemed to be quite tight.
Something I'm missing?

bottom one.. (dogbone? not sure how the 1,2 looks) And i've read that the 1,2 does have a lot of movement but yours may have got worse over age.

All 1.2's do it AFAIK, mine does it, my mate's does it, a car we had in at work did it. I think it's just a poor design/poor quality of the gearbox in the 1.2's.

mines 07, 12000 miles on so not that old really.
Ah guess if most seem be doing it just will have to accept it. cheers

mine does it and i have a 1.4 dymanique... 35000 miles on the clock and its an 03 model!

Dogbone mount needs changing they are shite !!

I floored it on sunday in the said, wheels span, car bounced and car knocked itself out of gear. Mine does move under normal conditions though.
