I'd say it sounds like your aux belt tensioner. When was it last changed?

I'd avoid using the car until you get to the bottom of it.

the belts were all changed in may last year.
it only does it in the mornings. lasts about 4-5 mins and then seems fine. i have to do a 3 point turn to get down my road and when i turn at full lock the noise is at its worst.
ill check my fluid level in my pump when i get 5 mins at work
thanks

Get someone to hold it on full lock while you check out aux belt area with a torch. You should be able to see if the aux tensioner is locking up

I had this happen before I changed my pas pump, started out as a whine then a squeal then grinding. Since then I've only had a whine once and that was when I never noticed the fluid had dropped. Best check and top up in first instance, then if not solved if get a specialist to check

Just because it was changed last year doesn't mean the tensioner hasn't seized (It shouldn't have but it's not un-common especially if the arch liners are damaged/missing). It is more likely to be a PAS fault but if it's worrying you get it looked at and properly diagnosed as aux belt faults *can* become terminal.

With mine it was the pas pump. Whined like mad and creaked at full lock. Got the new pas pump fitted and the whine disappeared. But that reminds me to check my pas fluid as i'm getting a creak again on full lock :(
