Loudest Clio Thread

  Vectra
been looking thru different parts of this site and haven't really came across what am looking for, am looking for the loudest clio! i know some people on here might have they own views this subject but in a way am all for having a stupidly loud car! haters will hate but we all have our own views and all that.

the exhaust system a have currently is a sportex and its fairly loud ive had a few comments and nasty looks from the neighboors and even random people in the street lol ive must of gotten used with it a guess but even to this day a cant go anywhere without getting nasty looks or people chatty away about it lol btw its not like the corsa b cherrybomb exhausts that sound like sh*t , my sportex has a nice deep loud tone bit too loud it seems, so yeah enough chat....post videos/pictures of your exhaust system with a full description :)

all comments welcome :)

Why waste money making yourself looking like a tit?

It's a 1.2, no matter how loud or whatever your looking for its still going to be a fartbox :). Save your money for 172 or 182 something with some go to match the noise?

  Vectra
yeah its a first car so what you expect lol

I have been looking into what a want next
-golf mk4
-corsa b
-another clio maybe 172
-fiesta

mixed bunch of what a fancy really

Do the shameful feelings subside over time?

What I'd expect is for you to behave, keep your nose clean, save some money and get some no-claims built up. And not to go around winding up other road users with your stupidly loud "rude boy" exhaust. It's chavvy, it's crude and there is no need. Especially not on a car that takes over 12 seconds to hit 60mph.

  Vectra
right lets try and get the grammar right this time lol

yeah I know exactly where your coming from!

the car aint chavvy as the exhaust system got removed around a month ago , reason it got removed was like you say there's no need for it and the amount of time it takes to hit 60 is embarrassing to be honest , the coilovers arent fitted so I'am neither loud or low , about the keep your nose clean and all that...those are my main priorities now I dont want to be driving round in a 1.2 forever! at the minute I have 1 NCB as ive only been driving 1 year and I'am almost at the end of my 2nd year so hopefully I will have 2NCB!

I can't believe you managed to type that and not click.

Anyway, your attitude and grammar combined with you wanting to have a ridiculous exhaust makes me think that you're a 17 year old who just got his first car and thinks it's funny to look like a tw*t.

Why though?

I'm not having a go, I've been there, done that, and learned the error of my ways. Realised I looked like a tw*t and now I'm embarrassed for people who drive around in s**tboxes of their own making

/rant

already commented about this in a previous comment...yeah I've had the exhaust system and coilovers removed reason being at the end of the day its embarrassing in a car that takes forever to hit 60

plans are:
-Built Up No Claims
-Save Up Cash
you get the idea

I saw your comment after I posted, couldn't be arsed to delete it sorry.

Do what I'm doing, wait until you're in the position to buy and insure a 'better' car and occupy yourself in the meantime by tastefully changing a little part of your car every now and then

  Vectra
yeah at first its great but overtime just get embarrassing

I'am building up them no-claims for something better

Falsely hoped this thread was asking about interesting noise coming from the front of the car :dapprove:

But I'll try & turn it around......Beaniemoo's silly spec Mk1 has got to be the loudest I've ever heard, he's banned from Bedford Autodrome until he fits some sort of airbox to dampen the noise his ITB's make.
Here's a vid of mine making the sort of noise you're supposed to be interested in, not the chavtastic exhaust noise ;)

So you started by saying you have a silly loud exhaust, but when everyone said it was chavvy, s**t and pointless, you said you'd had it removed....:S

I hate loud aftermarket exhausts. Ultimate rude boi accessory.

at the end of the day the exhaust is sitting in the shed all boxed up , yeah at the start of this thread I didnt mention I had it removed but still now you know...aftermarket exhausts especially on a 1.2 is just waste of money specially the sportex exhaust I bought I thought it was class! driving the streets at night setting off alarms like you do lol after a while it just got embarrassing so thats why it got removed.

LOUD NOISES.

even with the straight through system most of the noise is induction. Not to every ones taste but then what is...
