Low Fuel Warning Light Question

Haven't drive my 172 for 1 year. Just did the MOT last week and great fun of driving again.

Well, forgot when the Low Fuel Warning Light will be on. The needle is touching the bottom mark but the light does not go on?? I am sure the bulb is not broke cos it is on when I turn the key.

Any advice?

mines broken i think. dont want to risk going too low ive never seen it on.
i ran it as low as i dared and it took £46 to fill up. so im assuming my lights broken.

It is funny that I always want to fill up as late as possible. To lie myself how good the fuel consumption are for a 2.0 hot-hatch.

My light is not broke for sure. But wondering if it is using the same sensor as fuel level??

Mine touches red for a bit before the light comes on.

it takes a very low tank before the light comes on . the light on mone works and atm its running off fumes yet the lights hasnt come on yet lol
