Low fuel warning

At what point does the low fuel warning come on?
My fuel gauge is firmly on zero and the range computer suggests 36 miles of fuel range left.
The warning light is not on yet!

When there is only approximately 5 litres left in the tank.
The range will vary, depending on the current mpg reading on the tc.

Ime if a 172 fuel light comes on you are in s**t !! ?

I always thought it came on as soon as you got below the mileage stated on your mpg.

Thanks for the info, l was just trying to work out the actual MPG as l think the computer is a bit optimistic

Looks like it’s doing around 30mpg around town.
Which is good as it’s been RS tuned and the official fuel consumption figure (urban driving) is 25mpg.
On my Defender a remap improved the economy by about 2mpg.
The computer is saying 28.9mpg which is probably bang on.
