Low MPG

Hi Guys

Recently picked up a 2001 Clio 85 dCi, having serviced the car and done a few bits on it i have noticed the MPG is around 44 no matter how or where i drive. I'm going to clean the EGR out tomorrow and see if that makes a difference, is there anything else i can do?

Yes that was done on the first drive. All four tyres have been replaced and tracking done so not that. Should really be seeing at least 55mpg.

No sticky brakes anywhere ?

Thermostat working as should be ? Does it get up to temp ?

Have you gone for a 20+ mile journey on the m'way at ~60mph and reset the average ?

Have you worked it out yourself rather than relying on the OBC ?

Not sure on the brakes will have to check them tomorrow going to change the fuel filter as well. Gets up to temp and sits halfway no problems. I went on a trip on the m25 and reset the trip and still stuck 44 and no I haven't worked it out myself.
