lowered suspension



hi iv got a 2001 1.2 clio and i am thinking about lowering it but i have been told that the shoks only last for about a year if lowered is this true:(

Depends on how much you lower it and how you drive it. For example if you lower it by 60mm and regularly drive over speed bumps and around roundabouts (Not over them ;)) then you'll be lucky if they last you 8 months.

But you'll get better performance if you get new lowering springs and shocks, check out the APEX lowering kit that K-Tec has.

Yeah get coilovers, You can allways keep your old suspension and put it back on when you sell it. then sell the coilovers too.
 
I had 40mm springs..then 60mm shocks and springs and now I want coilies..save ya pennys in the long run and get the coilies imo.
