lowering on ins

  R35 GTR
Ok dude, i would go with greenlight as they are a specialised company who deal with enthusiasts who probably dont go out of their way to crash their cars.

Where as a standard run of the mill insurer will have thousands of chavs cutting their springs and crashing through halfords declared on their insurance, so they would charge you due to more claims from idiots?

Thats my theory.

I dont hate anyone, I love you too. mwah.

£25 per mod, isn't that with norwich union?

Plus most normal insurers need you to be over 25 for mods.

norwich union tried to charge me 200£ extra for alloys.

they didnt want to know about lowering, said it wasnt allowed.

admiral charged me slightly more for lowering than they did for alloys

I would get your own insurance for a year, get one year ncd like i have done then go with greenlight. They will sort you out if you are over 21.....sorry if you arent, dont want to rub salt in the wounds.:(

Not really, I've jus turned 18 and fair enuff I've paid 1300 for my insurance but in the long run, it should balance out wen it comes 2 renewing next year, oh an Norwhich Union charged me 35 quid for my alloys :D

my current people charged £10/month for alloys! luckily ive put the original turbines back on, so thats fine :)

and the class lowering as either <20mm or >20mm :( again, i think its about £10/month :/

  Mustang, S13, AX GT
Haha, when I was trying to get my insurance the difference was nearly £700 just for saying I had aftermarket alloys on. So as far as they're aware my alloys are standard renault ones...
