E edde Apr 16, 2007 #2 Shocks won't lower a car springs will. Eisback or however you spell it would be my only recomendation but I'd always change springs and shock but price is more.

C CHRISK172+ Vectra 1.9 CDTi SRi 150 Apr 16, 2007 #3 Will need springs to lower it 35mm. Not really necessary to change shocks unless there worn out or your going much lower than 45mm.

There is a need to change shocks. As for height for when you need you should change them regardless. Shocks are desinged with the springs in mind. Springs and shocks are desinged around each other just sticking stock dampers with aftermarket springs ins't the ideal ride.
