is it ok to lower a clio 45mm with just springs or do i need to get others bits ?

40mm should be fine on standard shocks anything lower new shocks

i always read this but have never heard of any problems from going more than 40mm, i went 4k miles lowered 60mm and it was fine, no visible damage on shocks when i put the standard springs back on etc....

Shock life is reduced on lowering springs the lower the spints the lower the life although driving ways etc and there so many other variables have a huge effect.

Personaly get matching springs and dampers always springs are desinged to work with shock mix and match doens't work.
